Selly Galley-Fiawoo, was born to Mr. Daniel Aglago and Mad. Benedicta Aku Galley on 25/09/87. Since then, she has been a beacon of excitement to those around her; from her days in Creator School - Tema, where she was the entertainment prefect, Akosombo International School, where she was a notable dancer, to Meridian University and Radio and  Broadcasting Development Foundation (RABODEF), where she received media training, Selly has always left a mark on her immediate atmosphere.

After her media training, Selly proceeded to Atlantis Radio, where she offered dutiful service as a morning show producer,  voice over artiste and field reporter .

Selly Galley's ascendance to fame began when she won Miss Ghallywood beauty pageant; a talent hunt for the new face for the Ghana Movie industry in 2011. Shortly afterwards, demand for her appearance in movies saw her play roles in flicks like, "The African Child", "The Number one fan", "You May Kill the Bride", "Beautiful Ruins", "The Table" , "Any Other Monday" , "John and John" and many others.

Selly's acting efforts haven't been ignored, as she has received accolades; Nominee for Best Supporting Actress in a movie at Ghana Movie awards 2015, nominated for Most Promising actress in 2014, 2015 and 2016 at City People's Entertainment Awards held in Nigeria and won the category in 2015. She also won Supporting Actress in a movie at Pan African Cinema Awards 2015 held in Togo.

Selly soon became a name in African homes, after appearing on one of the continent's most acclaimed reality shows, Big Brother Africa in 2013 as one of the best housemates to ever represent Ghana through showcasing the Ghanaian local prints and designs in all her outfits , promoting Ghanaian culture and music and winning the best head of house (house prefect ) in the history for Ghana .

After her successful run on the reality show, Selly was fired up for a new phase. She began hosting a weekly show on Joy Prime; a station broadcasting digitally across Africa. The show has ran for 4 years and continues to showcase the best of African cinema and personalities- earning Selly Galley more acclaim in African homes.

Selly Galley-Fiawoo's work on television over the years, has attracted accolades such as, multiple nominations for best female TV host of the year and the most Poplar TV show of the year at the Television awards Ghana and the Radio and Television awards Ghana.

Her new television exploit is a cooking show tagged, African Pot. The show airs on Joy Prime and showcases a string of African personalities and celebrities preparing their favourite native dishes; a showcase of tradition and culture .

On the humanitarian front, Selly has consistently worked with the African Child foundation- a school set up to offer free and quality education to underprivileged children. As the Ambassador of the NGO, Selly has supported it's humanitarian efforts.

Selly's effort has extended to setting up her own Nonprofit Organization , the SELLY GALLEY FOUNDATION, for maternal and child care outreach with the aim to cater to pregnant women in her communities; creating awareness for pre and post pregnancy conditions for safe child birth . 

For years now, Selly has been on a mission to promote Ghanaian style, fashion and designers. This endeavor has seen her being touted as a style icon, with a teeming number of fans, admirers and onlookers who draw inspiration from her fashion statements and multiple awards .

Happily Married to Mr Stephen Kojo Fiawoo popularly known as "Praye Tietia" of the international and local multiple award winning Ghanaian music group PRAYE , who she's known for nine years and married to, since September 2015 . 

​

Selly's impact on the youth was recently solidified by a "Role Model of the year" nomination at the Ghana tertiary awards 2017 .
